-Ceremonial Music (Coronation)
-Sacred Music 

Chamber Music: small groups, meant to be played in a “Chamber.”

-Many different types of bands: Jazz Bands, Bluegrass Bands, etc.

Area of Inquiry 3: Music for dramatic impact, movement and entertainment

This area focuses on music for supporting choreography, dance, films, etc; that serve as entertainment.


Area of Inquiry 4: Music for technology in the electronic and digital age

This area covers music created, performed, or produced using electronic or digital technologies. Important part of more contemporary musical experiences.
